Prepare:
- A 1-minute monologue (Something from Shakespeare to show your capabilities with verse)
- There will be a dance call as this show is relying heavily on choreography.
- Wear clothing suitable for movement. No fear. No filters.

- Juliet and Romeo — Female-presenting
- Mercutio — Male-presenting
- Benvolio — Pre-cast (14M)
- All other roles open to any gender expression
- Movement required — think mosh pit meets Shakespeare.

Characters at a Glance:

Juliet — Addicted to many substances, trapped in luxury and control, fighting to feel alive.

Romeo — Restless, reckless, and numbing pain through intimacy; discovers her attraction to women.

Mercutio — Still in love with Romeo. Loud, magnetic, and dangerous.

Friar Laurence — Dealer to the rich; philosophical, clean-cut, and complicit.

The Apothecary — Street dealer; dirty, desperate, and deadly.

Lord & Lady Capulet — Manipulative and emotionally abusive, locked in a toxic cycle of power and control.

Lord & Lady Montague — Physically and emotionally abusive; denial and violence rule their home.

Benvolio — Innocent, caught between love and loyalty.
Plus a chorus of punks, addicts, ghosts, and dreamers—each one trying to survive the wreckage.
